We spent the last few days regrouping, relaxing and spring-cleaning.
The first task at hand was to do some washing, and Dad of course washed his bakkie. The washing machine isn’t fully automatic, so we had to rinse the clothes in a large bucket before spinning it in another part. This was quite a lot of work, but completely worth it to get our clothes clean.
Oom Victor has also been hatching chicks. We went and had a look in his hatching room where some of the chicks started to hatch the evening we arrived. Its amazing to see the little bodies. I must admit that I thought the hatching process is a lot quicker, but there were some of the eggs that were half open and yet the chick was still in the egg.
Mom and I also went up to look at the crocodile enclosures. There are easily over 200 crocodiles, all bathing in the sun. We got a big fright when we stepped up to one enclosure and the crocodiles all scurried into the water.

We went up to town the one day, and I sat at Etotongwe Lodge to work on the blog that’s been a bit neglected because of all the terrible signal and Mom and Dad went shopping. When they returned we ordered a pizza and some chips.
It’s been really great just to relax and not be driving all day, although we are all excited to get home.
