We are a family of five. My mom and dad, Alta and Pierre, are both retired. My dad had his own borehole drilling business and my mom did the books. My dad has always had a love of travelling and camping, ever since my grandfather took him and my aunts back to Zimbabwe (where two of my aunts were born) to fish at my grandpa's favourite spot when he still lived there. My mom has travelled alongside my dad where possible, although I think she may feel slightly kindly obliged by this point.

I have two older brothers, Pierre and Jéan, who are both married (to Bronwynne and Daphné) and both have children (Micaela, and Melinke and Jeandré). My brothers have taken over the family business and are now in Mpumalanga and Swaziland respectively.

Myself, a Communications Graduate and traveller. I've just returned from a year in Vietnam where I taught English. I jumped at the chance to travel for two months with my parents, longing to discover new places on African soil.
