The night before...

Well, we're almost done packing.. Only the last few things that still need to be packed into the bakkie. The last few days have been almost non-stop shopping and packing in and out to make sure that we have everything ready. Our documents are ready, my dad has finally been able to sort out all the insurance issues, and our passports are all lying in wait for the stamps coming their way.

It's been such hustle and bustle, each of us ensuring that our areas of responsibility are finalised - my mom: food, cleaning and medicine, my dad: living arrangements and vehicle management, and myself: technology. Poor Lexi (my Husky/Alsation) has been getting more and more sulky, directly proportional to the amount of bags being carried out to the garage.

I am extremely excited to share this adventure with my parents and to delve deeper into my African soul! Let's hope we don't forget anything major and don't miss our 6am start too badly!
